Preheat the oven to 350? and lightly butter a 13x9x2" pan.Toss the fruit in the lemon juice and rind. Put fruit into prepared pan.
Mix the flour, mace, cinnamon and sugar in a bowl. Pinch the butter into dry ingredients. The topping should be the consistency of gravel.
Sprinkle topping over the fruit and bake for 20 minutes or until the fruit begins to juice and feel soft when pierced with a sharp paring knife.
