QPM ? one of the region?s premier project management companies and the first Qatari firm in the field ? has announced its partnership with IQPC (International Quality and Productivity Center) for the upcoming ?HSE in Construction Qatar? conference on 11 March, 2013.
The HSE event endorsed by the Ministry of Municipality & Urban Planning and Public Works Authority ?Ashghal?, takes place at Oryx Rotana Hotel. The conference will bring together a range of experts from the HSE sector in the fields of architecture, development, contracting and consultancy. These experts will include a number of QPM associates in addition to other speakers.
The conference will fully explore the main challenges in HSE within the construction industry and this is the prime reason behind QPM?s decision to partner with IQPC. The ultimate goal of the event is to aid the delivery of projects safely, and in an environmentally-sympathetic fashion to meet the highest expectations through effective technology and people management.
?HSE in Construction? will discuss the health and safety requirements, standards and specifications, their implications on projects and how to develop these strands into an overall successful HSE program.
Additionally, the conference will explore fire safety standards, technologies and processes that need to be factored into HSE frameworks across different project types, from high-rise buildings, to airports, shopping complexes and all other types of development and infrastructure. Further, the concepts and practice of emergency and accident management will be addressed.
